Folk singer, musician and songwriter Queen Grace was born Jennifer Concannon in Derry during ‘The Troubles’ in Northern Ireland, by which her family were heavily affected. The injustices she inherited would forever make her a truth seeker and a truth speaker. With her distinctive voice, finger style guitar and drone she sings the stories of the unheard and the unseen, often from a woman’s perspective. She adopted her moniker Queen Grace from the Irish pirate queen Grainne O’Malley(c.1530-1603). A leader, a mother and a rebel, unwilling to live by the restraints of society.
